‘Bipolar’ is the second initiative project of the ‘Kulturstiftung des Bundes’ (cultural foundation of the German Government), whose aim is to support the development of direct work-relations between the cultural scenes of Germany and the new EU members. The public tendering of ‘bipolar’ encouraged many persons engaged in the cultural sector and cultural organizations to develop combined projects. Not all the projects were recommended for sponsorship by the jury, but the large number of applications shows that a first goal has been achieved: bipolar succeeded in giving new impulses to the German-Hungarian cultural relations.

In a project catalogue that appeared in January all 32 co-operations with altogether more than 100 events in Germany and Hungary are presented. The catalogue can be requested for free at Bipolar by email: pr@projekt-bipolar.net, or by phone under 0049-30-600319-32.
