The WINTERAKADEMIE 2 - SAGEN WIR NORMAL IST ANDERS [Lets say normal is different] featured four German-Hungarian laboratories. Within those 44 teenagers from Berlin and different places in Hungary worked together on different aspects of the topic “normality” for one week. These four laboratories were:

YOUR NORMAL FREAK
BEYOND COMMON SENSE
KÖSZÖNÖM and DÖNKÖSCHÖN
EXCITING NEIGHBOURS

All 20 Hungarian participants were able to stay with the families of the Berlin participants over the academy week. This way they could gain a little impression on the daily life there. Only a “little impression” because for most of them the academy week was all but normal and everyday like.

In addition, the four German-Hungarian laboratories were each led by a German-Hungarian artistic duo. Those artistic teams were collaborating for the first time and had only got to know each other through the WINTERAKADEMIE. During the preparation period it had therefore been their task to familiarize themselves with the working method of their partners and to develop a common concept for the laboratory. The evaluation by co-curator Mónika Bálint sets out if and how well these constellations worked.
