Yvonne Birghan was born in Stralsund in 1977 where she graduated from school and took her A-levels. Early on she gained experience by doing internships at theatres in different departments of the Stralsund theatre/ Theatre of Vorpommern. After graduation she worked as a free stage director assistant and developed own theatre projects. Then she studied Business Administration at the University of Applied Science in Stralsund. Her practical semester led her to the Carrousel theatre Berlin (now THEATER AN DER PARKAUE), where she worked with Dirk Neldner in the marketing/ project realization department on the "European Schoolyard Stories"-project. Also she gained experiences in the operating procedure of a theatre as a stage director assistent, in the visitor service and in the work with children and teenagers at the theatre meeting for children and teenager "Augenblick mal". Her last project was a co-operation within the international theatre-network "magic-net".
