Gudrun Herrbold was born in 1967 in Leverkusen. Before working as a stage director and actress she studied German language and literature in Cologne as well as acting in Berlin and New York. In 2003 scholarship holder academy Schloss Solitude in Stuttgart. Various theatre projects with female inmates, female boxers, elderly female artists, young students of standard dance and female soccer players. Since 2001 she has been working together with the performance group DOROTHY VALLENS. As an actress she has worked among others at the homeless theatre RATTEN 07, belonging to the VOLKSBÜHNE BERLIN. Since May 2007 she is heading a new training for theatre education in cooperation with the HAU BERLIN, together with Felicitas Jacobs.
