With the format of the WINTER ACADEMY the THEATER AN DER PARKAUE wants to impart a preferably wide concept of ‘theatre’. In the time preceding the academy we ask artists of all genres whether they would like to supervise a laboratory, either by relying on the tendering procedure or very directly. The special nature of the laboratories is the previous phrasing of questions that the students work on by using means of aesthetic research. It’s aim is to make the substantiality of live visible and describable. The artists are always part of the process that can be shaped flexibly up to the presentation at the end of the academy week. In the public presentation the way of the laboratory and the working methods need to be prominent. The artists will be assisted by the laboratory tutors.
